ShipNet.ge is a digital platform for courier business management in Georgia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data when using the platform.
By using the platform, you confirm that you have read and agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Personal data – name, email, phone number;
- Company data – name, identification code, bank details;
- Operational data – order history, delivery addresses, parcel details, COD amounts;
- Technical data – IP address, device, browser type, session data;
- Communication data – messages and SMS communication through the platform.
- Bank details — bank account number, bank name, and account holder. Used solely for COD and other settlements between Merchants and Couriers within the Platform, or, when ecessary, for settlements between ShipNet.ge and the Courier company.
- Settlements — using bank details to fulfil financial obligations between Merchants, Courier companies, and ShipNet.ge (COD transfers, refunds, and other settlements).
2. How We Use Information
- Service delivery – account management, order processing and courier operations;
- Financial records – operational data recording, COD data tracking (informational);
- Communication – sending email and SMS notifications;
- Security – system protection, fraud prevention;
- Improvement – analysis of anonymous and aggregated data.
3. Sharing with Third Parties
ShipNet.ge does not sell personal data.
Data may be shared with third parties only in the following cases:
- Technical service providers (hosting, infrastructure);
- Third-party services (e.g. SMSoffice.ge) – only if the user uses the relevant feature;
- When required by law.
4. Data Retention
- Data is stored during the account's active period;
- 30 calendar days after account cancellation, data is deleted;
- Backup copies are stored for a maximum of 90 days for security purposes.
5. Data Security
ShipNet.ge takes technical and organizational measures to protect data, including:
- Encryption;
- Access control;
- Server protection in the European Economic Area (EEA).
However, absolute security of data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed.
6. User Rights
Users have the following rights:
- Access – receive information about their data;
- Rectification – correct incorrect data;
- Erasure – request deletion of data;
- Portability – receive a copy of their data;
- Restriction – limit processing in certain cases.
7. Communication and Consent
- The user is responsible for ensuring that data of persons entered in the platform is processed lawfully;
- When sending SMS or other communications, the user ensures consent is obtained;
- ShipNet.ge is not responsible for unauthorized communications.
8. Cookies
The platform uses only essential (session) cookies for authentication. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
9. Changes
ShipNet.ge reserves the right to change this policy. Changes take effect upon publication.
